Nothing, er, dampens the desire to wash ones hair than discovering that there is no hot water.

Here's hoping that it's as simple for you as it was for us: press the reset/power button on the water heater, and it comes back on. (We had to unscrew a panel to find it.)

We'd already re-lit the pilot and noticed that it wouldn't stay lit. The once we got the burner to come on, it went out fast. :-(

We had "The Guy From Sears" come out this "morning" (8-12... got here about 12) and he replace the thermocouple. Was surprised that it had lasted 13 years.

I remember taking baths with hot water from a large kettle. I hope you don't have to resort to that.

I REALLY wanted to wash my hair last night, and I considered that. Except I figured that with the size of my kettle, and how long it takes to come to a boil, I'd probably not be able to get a tub much above room temperature. (Hmmm... they make wood-burning submersible thingies for making hot tubs... maybe I SHOULD have invested in that...)
