Little Shop of Horrors

Last night we went out to see The Performance Network of Ann Arbor's showing of Little Shop of Horrors.

It was delightful. I loved the chorus. I loved Audrey 2. Everyone else was great. One of the actors was ... a little over the top, but that was probably what was required by his roles, so I don't fault him.

The guys morphing the set got a round of applause when they fixed something that was eerily broken at the beginning.

We got home late enough that I decided that sleep was more critical than my "daily" exercise, so I neither walked on the treadmill nor did my catching up on LJ that I do while walking. So I'm slipping again.

Sometimes, I have to remember to take mental health days or, in this case, sleep (or other healthy) days. Tomorrow's gonna be another day. I would "beat myself up" over this, but I let friends off the hook.
(And, yes, I am working at letting myself off the hook over mental health times. It's a slow agonizing process, but I do occasionally see progress.)

I've always wanted to see that show live. I've only seen the Rick Moranis / Steve Martin / Ellen Greene movie. I really like that movie, but then I really like both Steve Martin and Rick Moranis, both of whom have shown that they're much better actors (comedic or otherwise) than the roles they're most identified with.
