You expected him dead last?

Yes, I expected him dead last. After his win in Iowa, I went and looked at his website and other articles. He's a nut (in my opinion). He advocates a constitutional amendment to ban abortion (I didn't see anything about *any* exceptions). He wants to replace the federal income tax with a transaction tax, possibly as high as 40%, even on food, buying a house and doctor's visits.

As a liberal democrat with libertarian leanings, it wasn't surprising to see Ron Paul on the top of the red list.

Sure -- I've seen a lot of these quizzes, and resisted the urge to take them -- but yours is the only one of this particulare one I've seen that's not split along party lines.

You're far from alone. According to an article I saw recently, polls show that more people self-identify as conservative than liberal, but when questioned on the specifics of the issues, more people agree with liberal positions than conservative ones. An interesting bit of dissonance.

So what will you do if it's an Obama-McCain race? :)

I find it interesting that everyone here had strict separation along party lines: All the democrats lined up above all of the republicans. Mine seems to be the only bi-partisan one, although I'd have thought the order to be a bit different. I prefer Obama over Clinton, and McCain over Guilliani, for instance. Fascinating little quiz. Thanks for sharing.
