Usually I'll ignore these quizzes -- or do them and post to the poeple who posted theirs -- but I rather enjoyed this. One of his was the first SF I remember reading, and having met, I quite liked the man.

Hal Clement (Harry C. Stubbs)
A quiet and underrated master of "hard science" fiction who, among other things, foresaw integrated circuits back in the 1940s.
