Half way

time, clock
I don't remember the date that the spouse left. I remember it was supposed to be this, then it was supposed to be a few weeks later, then it was TODAY! -- but while I remember the hectic nature of those few days, I don't recall which days they were.

I just saw a FB post that indicated that he was half-way though his "vacation". I thought it was closer to a third. Oops. Guess with the number of consecutive weekends I've had SOMETHING I needed to be working on (so I couldn't focus on the required housework), all of which have been since he left, I really should have realized that he was a lot closer to his return... but I just didn't put 2 and 2 together. Or is that e & π.

And with having just found another very healthy crop of mold in the basement I was hoping to have finished before his return, I am beginning to doubt my ability to accomplish the impossible again.

I have it on good authority that your spouse is very appreciative of all you have accomplished while he has been in the sandbox. I expect he will be quite happy with whatever is completed by the time he gets home.

You might want to think about what he can do to show his appreciation. If you leave it up to him, you will likely get dinner at Outback.

*g* My keyboard thanks me for not having sipped my coffee just prior to reading this.

Mold, ick. You have my sympathy (but not my help -- I'm allergic to molds and mildews. As you can guess, this makes cleaning out our pond extra not-fun.

Also, for the record, you continue to amaze me with the amount of stuff you get done. While helping J clean her mom's house, it occurred to me that I need about six of me to accomplish everything I want to do. This lead to me not bringing home a bunch of very cool stuff that would have been dearly loved by my fellow scrapbookers. (Vintage greeting cards and the like.) If I could clone myself, I'd have saved, scanned, and posted them up online. But alas, I am only me. You, however, seem to do the work of three or four people.

Thank you. For all. I've been feeling fairly unproductive recently, hitting "I can't move any further in this direction" points. (I have quite a back-log of things I really want to get done, but those are CFT items, and things like the basement are RSN items, so most other things (other than the network and the printer, which kept sucking my time for little return, but which really did need to be up for me to feel okay) just are rarely gotten to.) I do occasionally have very competent helpers who provide both the brain and the brawn where I too often find myself lacking, without whom much of what I pursue I would never gain.
