Workful Sunday

- Finished my Comic order form for January. (Wanted to turn it in last Wednesday, but this coming Wednesday will be good enough.)

- Prepared and ate some of one of my past "Meals of the Month" pasta dishes. (Silly me. Figured that even with our busy schedules that the spouse & I would be able to eat one dinner together each month -- but I have a backlog of at least a half-dozen.)

- Was about to go out to make the first pass at mowing/mulching the leaves in the back yard, but the spouse offered to do this. (Electric (Battery, not corded) mower plus many leaves indicates not much more than the perimeter of the yard done.)

- I cut up the last 6 or so onions from the 10 pound bag I bought from Sam's the other day -- I'm sure they'll freeze fine, but I'm hoping they thaw and are usable.

- Listened to more of the Pimsleur German (level 1) tapes. I had to ask a German co-worker last week about a word taught on an earlier tape that was different than the word I was taught, er... over 30 years ago. Now I have to ask her about a pronunciation that the tapes use that is different from what I was taught. My brain is full but I'm trying to psych myself up to calling Germany to get a hotel room. Aiiii. Even if I knew all the words and had confidence in myself, I know all my vocab would fly out the window as soon as the phone is answered... (Assuming I could accurately discover & dial the number.) I really don't want to have to rely on "Sprechen sie English?"

- Made some progress on the baby blanket I'm working on... don't remember when the kid is due, but I know it's soon. I'm doing an over-several-row shift in the color, and am nearly ready to start the final color solo.

- I finished reading the APA that I've had for about a month.

But they *do* speak English. Every one I've been to- very well, in fact.

*HUGGA!*

Have you mentioned to the spouse that you'd like to have dinner together once a month?
7th-Nov-2006 03:20 pm (UTC) - Honestly, I don't expect mind-reading
Before I signed up for the pasta stuff we spoke -- and agreed that (gosh! how ridiculous! of COURSE) we would be able to do this.

The spouse isn't all that big on dinner -- Lunch seeming to largely suffice -- although when I cook I'll often "have to" share a bite or two.

I've decided that's okay; I can't complain about having too many leftovers -- as long as the freezer works!
